Healing Through Expanded States of Consciousness
Hi, I'm Kayla. I am glad you are here.
I specialize in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and integration, supporting individuals through expanded states and the deep insights they can bring. My work is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and clinical expertise, honoring each person’s unique healing journey.
My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, blending modern psychotherapy with mindful presence and deep respect for the wisdom of your inner world. I believe these expanded states can offer profound opportunities for healing and self-discovery. At the same time, I know that true transformation happens when insights are carried into daily life. That’s why my work focuses not only on the journey itself but also on integration, helping you anchor your experiences with clarity, balance, and care.
My role is to meet you exactly where you are with presence, warmth, and steady support as you navigate your own path toward healing and wholeness
FAQ
What is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)?
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy combines the therapeutic effects of ketamine with ongoing talk therapy. Ketamine is a legal, FDA-approved medication shown to help with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health challenges. When paired with psychotherapy, it can help clients process experiences, access new perspectives, and support long-lasting change.
Where are these sessions held?
Although located in Wisconsin, I do not have a physical office and offer these sessions tele-health. Depending on location, I offer in-home services for the dosing sessions. If appropriate, this will be discussed ahead of time in our call together.
How does the process work?
I collaborate with Journey Clinical, whose expert medical team ensures safe and personalized care. You’ll begin with an in-depth virtual intake appointment to assess your medical and mental health history. If eligible, they’ll prescribe 2 doses of sublingual ketamine (a rapidly dissolving tablet or lozenge) for use during our therapy sessions.
KAP consists of preparation, dosing, and integration sessions.
Is ketamine safe?
Ketamine has been safely used in medical settings for decades. At the low doses prescribed for KAP, it is considered safe for most people. Side effects are typically mild and short-lasting, such as dizziness or nausea. Journey Clinical’s medical team carefully screens all clients to ensure safety.
What can ketamine help with?
Research shows that ketamine-assisted psychotherapy can support individuals struggling with:
Depression
Anxiety
PTSD
Relationship challenges
Existential distress
Patterns of negative thinking
...and more
How much does it cost?
My professional fees cover preparation, dosing, and integration sessions. I’ll provide a clear breakdown of costs before beginning.
Please see the bottom of the page for fee schedule. I am also happy to discuss these via email.

Do you take insurance?
At Violet Poppy, sessions are offered on a private-pay basis and are not billed directly to insurance. Private pay allows for greater privacy, flexibility, and the freedom to focus on your goals without restrictions from insurance companies. However, I can provide you with a superbill, which is an itemized receipt of services that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your individual plan’s out-of-network benefits. I recommend contacting your insurance provider in advance to learn more about your coverage.
If you’d like a superbill, simply let me know and I’ll be happy to provide one for you.
Is KAP right for me?
KAP is not a one-size-fits-all treatment. If you’re interested, I recommend scheduling a consultation with me so we can explore your goals and see if this is the right path for you. Journey Clinical’s medical team will also ensure you’re medically appropriate for ketamine treatment.
